- Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP)

Its disadvantage is that, just like every other pipe, it is susceptible to corrosion that is the reason for reduced efficiency and lifespan.
- Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
This pipe is mainly composed of plastic materials that help in its ductility and lightness. Being light and ease in installation make for an advantage. This pipe is uniquely resistant to corrosion caused by chemical factors and solutions, bases and acids. Its weakness is petroleum products that makes the walls soften. Luckily, this substance is not often found in wastewater. ABS pipes are also resistant against excessive trench loads.
